Founded in 1938 by Virgil and Virginia Cooper, Cooper Farms is still family owned and operated. Today, with the help of our more than 2,500 team members, Cooper Farms is a leading food supplier, selling a variety of delicious fully cooked and ready-to-cook turkey, ham and chicken products to customers throughout North America. 

WHAT WE DO: Cooper Farms raises live turkeys, chickens and hogs in northwest and west central Ohio and produces quality meat/egg products for a variety of private label and food service brands.

We have many different opportunities within our 4 divisions on all shifts - 1st, 2nd & 3rd. 

  • Farm related positions and working directly with animals (Paulding County) 

  • Positions in a cooked meats plant (Van Wert County) 

  • Positions in a turkey processing plant (Mercer County) 

  • Positions in egg processing plants (Mercer & Darke Counties) 

  • Vehicle maintenance positions (Mercer County) 

  • Positions working in feed mills (Mercer & Darke Counties)

General Employment Job Description

  • There are opportunities in all of the different divisions of Cooper Farms with a wide variety of duties and responsibilities.

    • 18 years of age (for most positions)

    • Hard working

    • Reliable

    • Willing to learn

    • Takes initiative

    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

    • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time

    • Valid Driver’s License - with acceptable driving record

    • Ability to pass a drug screen and/or background check

  • $17.00/hour minimum for most full-time positions (opportunity for higher wage depending on the position. Cooper Farms also has monthly and year-end profit sharing bonuses depending on company performance.
