Agronomy Associate

If you enjoy hands-on work, being outdoors, and helping local farmers grow the food that feeds our communities, you’ll fit right in at Heritage Cooperative.
We’re looking for dependable, motivated individuals who are ready to learn, work hard, and grow a career in agriculture. Our Agronomy Associates are an important part of the team, supporting agronomy operations, while learning how our business keeps farms running strong.

Work alongside experienced team members to prepare and deliver crop inputs (seed, fertilizer, crop protection products).
Operate equipment such as forklifts and loaders safely and efficiently.
Help keep our facilities clean, safe, and organized.
Assist with maintenance on plant equipment and vehicles.
Fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.

A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stay active throughout the day.
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during busy seasons.
Fundamental mechanical skills are a plus, we’ll help you learn the rest!
Motivation to learn and grow.

Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in agriculture or mechanical work (not required, but helpful).

Operate custom application equipment (liquid and dry) safely and efficiently to serve local farms.
Load and apply products such as fertilizer and crop protection materials at the correct rates.
Work with precision technology (controllers, rate monitors, and VRT files) to ensure accurate applications.
Assist with equipment maintenance to keep machines running at their best.
Help fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.
Maintain clean, safe, and environmentally sound facilities.

Previous experience in agriculture, equipment operation, or mechanical work is helpful but not required.
Valid Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (or willingness to obtain, training available).

Feed Mill Associate
Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can make an impact from day one? As a Feed Mill Associate with Heritage Cooperative, you’ll be part of a team that helps keep livestock across Ohio healthy and productive. This full-time position combines responsibility, teamwork, and the chance to grow your skills in a safe, supportive environment.
Employment Locations by County: Mahoning, Licking

Safely operate forklifts, palletizers, and packing equipment to support daily production and shipping.
Keep accurate packing records and verify product quality.
Assist with inventory: tracking pallets, bags, and materials.
Load and unload trucks, checking shipments against manifests.
Support your team by keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Communicate with supervisors and coworkers to ensure orders are accurate and on time.
Represent Heritage’s values while helping train new employees.

Ability to frequently stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
Ability to frequently lift and/or carry heavy objects no more than 50 pounds
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed
Willingness to work in various weather elements, including cold, heat, wind, rain, etc.
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication skills
Respectable mechanical skills
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
